We utilise Scottish grown timber and locally sourced natural materials to design and build net zero commercial buildings. No alternative construction approach can deliver these requirements.  

We have pioneered a design approach to commercial building that can deliver bespoke low and net zero carbon buildings, from standardised components – known as Structural Insulated Panels (n-SIPs).

History

MAKAR Commercial Buildings is part of MAKAR Ltd, an architect-led design, manufacture and construction company, which delivers healthy, comfortable, beautiful and low-energy homes.

We recognise that our society faces an unprecedented climate crisis and are dedicated to leading the way in pioneering net zero construction within the built environment.

The built environment, through both energy emissions and embodied carbon emissions, is one of the main sources of greenhouse gas emissions, and commercial buildings play a huge part in this.

MAKAR takes 20 years of experience in ecological and net zero Design for Manufacture and Assembly in homes and applies this same innovative approach to commercial and community buildings.
